Tier 2 sponsors (employers)
There have been many recent changes in the government’s immigration policies for employing migrant workers. In November 2008, the Work Permit Scheme was replaced by the Tier 2 Points Based System, where employers must hold a Sponsor Licence before being allowed to employ migrant workers. Our immigration solicitors have since been representing businesses in the UK to advise, assist and prepare applications for a Sponsor Licence. We have also advised our business clients on compliance issues to ensure their Human Resources procedures and practices comply with the law and that they are able to understand the requirements that the UK Border Agency have imposed on employers as a Tier 2 Sponsor Licence Holder.
We can also assist Tier 2 Sponsor Licence Holders in managing their Sponsor Licence Management System as their nominated Level 1 User.
We are also experienced in representing businesses whose Sponsor Licence has either been downgraded or revoked by the UK Border Agency.
Please see the Civil Penalties section if you wish to challenge the Civil Penalty that has been issued by the UK Border Agency.
